Apprenticeships We are now recruiting for Apprentices to join and gain their level 3 Early Years Educator qualification! We have vacancies across the majority of our settings - apply here! Did you know that you could have an Early Years Qualification in under 2 years’ time!? At Acorn, we believe that childcare needs a personal touch, and our nurseries offer flexibility and individuality with a homely feel. As a not-for-profit organisation, we place our children’s well-being at the heart of our work. By undertaking an Early Years Apprenticeship with Acorn, you will have an early years qualification in less than 2 years, whilst earning money along the way! At Acorn, we truly believe that our Apprentices are an integral part of the Acorn team and bring a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and passion. This is why we pay our Early Years Apprentices £8.00 per hour, rising to £9.00 per hour after 6 months, which is almost £3 more than the government apprenticeship wage! Your L3 qualification will provide you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required to work in an early years setting and alongside this, the practical, hands-on experiences and mentoring that you receive from your nursery setting, will allow you to become an inspirational Acorn practitioner! All you need, is the passion, enthusiasm and desire to work in early years and begin your career. As an Acorn Apprentice, you will receive direct and ongoing support from our Training and Development Manager, four Apprenticeship Workshop days per year which are jam packed with training opportunities to support your qualification, a dedicated mentor within your nursery setting and four companywide training days per year! Not to mention that the opportunities for career progression at Acorn are fantastic. APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME - at its very best. "The apprenticeship scheme, offered by Acorn Early Years in New Bradwell, Milton Keynes has proved a wonderful experience for my granddaughter. Staff provide on-going training through daily and consistently high quality and creative practice of care and work with babies and young children. They have set a very high standard for her, which she is pursing with great enthusiasm after a 'rocky' start. She has also received specific training days with fellow students, together with much support enabling her to pursue academic qualifications. She is a professional in the making, for which she will owe a great debt to the company and staff who gave her this opportunity."
