As part of our commitment to the development of our staff, we hold four training days every year, covering a variety of sessions that develop skills, knowledge confidence and provides up-to-date changes within the Early Years sector.

This year, we held a training day on Wednesday 2nd August for our Northamptonshire & Bedfordshire nurseries and another on Thursday 3rd August for our nurseries in Milton Keynes. Thank you so much to all our trainers who provided very thought-provoking, inspiring and engaging sessions for our staff!

Across these two days we welcomed…

  • Kym Scott, who delivered a reflective course on why interactions matter and what quality interactions look like
  • Vanessa Dooley, who delivered a course on how to add impactful practices into daily routines, leading to outstanding results

  • Ellie Collar, who delivered a course on a basic introduction to safeguarding and child protection, as well as a full day course dedicated to the Code of Practice

  • Laura Tingey (our Head of Early Years & Compliance) who delivered a course on the characteristics of effective leadership, exploring what it takes to be an effective leader in an early years setting, compliance and ratio building, the art of delegation and how to nurture and support members of the team, who need it the most! As well as a course on how multi-agencies work together to safeguard children and developing an understanding of the referral procedures
