We are so proud to share that our New Bradwell nursery has achieved their 2022/23 Eco-Schools Green Flag Award!

This award is an international accreditation that recognises young people's environmental actions! The programme itself empowers and engages young people (as well as staff teams and therefore families) in important environmental issues, teaches great responsibility and generates a sense of community, as well as develops the skills and knowledge young people need to play an active role in protecting our environment now and throughout their lifetimes!

Huge well done and congratulations to all the children and the staff at the nursery and our eco-lead Seonaid for leading an enthusiastic and dedicated eco-committee at New Bradwell nursery, and for helping the nursery to achieve this award for the first time!!

Snippets from Eco-Schools feedback:

"It’s clear your Eco-Committee are constantly considering what actions they can take to improve their local community and benefit our planet."

"Your greatest successes link clearly to the experience of the children. Reducing your waste has clearly been a great success, well done! This is what the best forms of climate action are about – impactful but achievable things that create a positive experience and prompt more action. We love this!"

"We have loved reading about your journey and are incredibly impressed by all you have achieved. We have no hesitation in awarding you an Eco-Schools Green Flag, congratulations!"
