Acorn works with a range of local charities and government bodies that own and/or manage local woodland areas. With shared aims of engaging children in the natural environment, we believe in a cooperative approach to achieving these aims. We hope our Forest School sessions encourage and inspire children and their families to visit the natural areas local to their homes.

The Parks Trust are an independent charity that care for most of the parks and green spaces in Milton Keynes, and are an organisation committed to sustainability and local engagement. Most of Acorn's Milton Keynes nursery sessions are delivered in local areas managed by the Parks Trust. We also deliver our Forest School holiday club at Shenley Toot/Wood and our training at the Black Horse Wood.

Forestry England are the government department responsible for protecting, expanding and promoting the sustainable management of woodlands and increasing their value to society and the environment.

For 10 years, we have delivered forest schools to our holiday club and Acorn nurseries at Salcey Forest, an ancient woodland managed by Forestry England. We also deliver some of our training sessions and many of our Family Events at Salcey Forest.

The Forest of Marston Vale is an independent charity running the largest environmental regeneration project in Bedfordshire. They are committed to engaging the local community and, in doing so, providing education about sustainability and transforming perceptions of the natural environment. Acorn works with the Forest of Marston Vale to find a suitable and convenient site that can be used to deliver forest schools and outdoor learning opportunities to schools local to the Vale, as well as other educational opportunities for local children.
